This past weekend was a movie blockbuster weekend with Oppenheimer and Barbie competing for box office glory. Add to that, we are in the middle of 24 consecutive days of 110 degree plus weather. What can you do in conditions like that?
Well…. are you a movie fan? Cinema buff? Air-conditioned comfort awaits you at your local Harkins theater and it is the best movie experience you will ever have!

That blurb is from google! The important thing is, it’s the place to go for your movie viewing pleasure and the best treat is the popcorn! OMG – Harkins is the best popcorn I have ever eaten! It is so good that they sell a big party bag for $12, and it is also in several grocery stores! My personal preference is to enjoy it in theater!
Several of the theaters have what they call Ultimate Lounger Reclining Seats, just grab your popcorn, sit back, put your feet up and enjoy your movie.
Not to throw shade on the other movie chains in town but Harkins is number one for me. You definitely have to join their award program* which allows you to earn dollars based on your spending. There is also a popcorn perk that you can buy which will get you a free medium popcorn each time you purchase a movie ticket. Doesn’t cost to join and it’s well worth it!
This year, The Phoenix Film Festival was hosted at the Harkins Cine Capri located in Scottsdale and it was great! First time event for me and I’ll definitely go back next year!
