A very wise young man once told me “You can google anything”. Truer words have never been spoken!
As you get used to your new surroundings in the lovely state of Arizona, you are going to have questions and the best place to get answers quickly is Google! Of course, Transplanted is a good source too but I am still amazed at what you can find by simply typing in a phrase close to what you actually need.
These days with analytics and algorithms, all you have to do is say something in conversation and the next time you open google, there it is!
Looking for the nearest grocery store? The word “grocery” gave me “grocery stores near me”. Exactly what I wanted! Questions about laws and requirements to live in Arizona? “Living in Arizona” gave me “pros and cons of living in Arizona” and a lot more information.
Google maps is a must have as you navigate around town!
Social media sites can be very helpful as you’re acclimating to your new environment. Facebook searches will return some great pages with info on living in Arizona. My new favorite page on Facebook is Arizona’s Must Go Places. (link under the useful links tab above).
I’m sure all of you use google and are probably experts compared to me, but I was surprised at how much you will rely on it. Moving to a totally different state and not having any family can be daunting. It’s nice to know that sometimes help is just a few keystrokes away.
Happy clicking!
