I got an email from a blog/site I subscribe to (Experience Scottsdale) and it was all about “Scottsdale Super Season”
Never heard of it! But I kept reading and it made sense. There was a list of events starting in January centered in the Scottsdale area and when you remember that in January, a good portion of the country is under several feet of snow or frozen in, the light bulb came on!
Who wouldn’t want to be in sunny Arizona for a few days or weeks just to get away? Coincidentally, the midwest and east are having record cold temps and snowfall – doesn’t Arizona sound like a must do?
The website is http://experiencescottsdale.com/ and they list all the happenings in that area during the January through early April timeline. There were a few items new to me and some that even I go to as a year-round resident!
Starting in January there is the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction; in February the Waste Management Open begins. The Arabian Horse Show and MLB Spring Training happen in late February and March and in 2024, Phoenix will also host the NCAA Men’s Final Four.
